Default Educational Experience

I have learned quite a bit from babysitting my neighbor's Yorkie this weekend.
1. My dog is territorial. We did not realize he thought that the sofa, floor, and most of the house was HIS and his to share or not share as he saw fit. It isn't terrible, but it is not great. We can control him,but it's stressful.
2. He can learn, and it is so much work. Hats off to those of you who have integrated new dogs into your home. I'm pretty darn worn out.
3. Yorkies are so, so "emo" as the kids would say. Well, I already knew that, but having two of them stare at me with sad eyes is nuts.
4. I probably will stick with having one dog. Probably because Dinky is the way he is. It's really disappointing to see his behavior. They have played together many times, but he just sees it as different when I hold her etc.
