My little girl has floppy ears as well, I love her that way and think she is adorable! She has never had any ear problems from them being floppy. You can try shaving if you want, it won't hurt your baby at all and it might work, if it doesn't work the hair will grow back pretty quickly anyway and then you can just leave them.
