when i first saw my youngest yorkie on petfinder as a 4 month old puppy, the shelter offering her adoption was calling her by the name of dixie. my boyfriend and i decided that we would chose our own name for her if we were the ones lucky enough to get to adopt her. as the discussion went on, i just through it out there that she looks like a pixie with her tiny size and large ears. the whole time we were waiting waiting on a list to adopt her, almost 2 weeks, we referred to her as pixie every time we talked about her. the name just stuck and it fits her very well. |
