Welcome! This is a great site (I'm a newbie, too) and you'll find great information.

My Gia didn't have littermates so she didn't learn that she couldn't bite hard. When I first got her she would play bite and it was pretty rough. I finally figured out that if I yelped (LOUDLY!) when she bit me it would surprise her and she'd come back towards me and gently lick my hand instead, as if to say "Is this ok?"

Now even when we play around she won't bite down. She just grazes my skin with her teeth, but no pressure whatsoever.

I will admit that if you're in public it's embarrassing to yelp! LOL! But well worth it in the long run. Good luck and let us know how you do!
