My Teddie was a biter. I also have three other dogs, a 100 pound lab, a 55 pound shepherd mix, and an 11 pound pom. He would bite on them and they would teach him they didn't like it. My lab would bark loudly in his face and scare him, the other dogs nipped back and he learned quick to use bite inhibition.
When he bit, or gnawed, on us we would tell him "be niiiiiiice" and hand him a toy he could gnaw on and praise him for gnawing on it. Teddie is great now...that's all we have to tell him is be nice and he adjusts himself quickly and he is 6 months old now.
Just wanted to add...Teddie would nip at your nose if you brought him near your face. I taught him to not do that by saying, "you give mmmm kisses." He'll still kinda nip playfully at my husband and that's all he says is "mmm kisses" and Teddie stops and licks. Just thought I'd add that in there...
Good luck!
