Probiotics may aid in digestion and help keep the balance of good/bad bacteria in the digestive track.

Probiotics probably will not help with curbing the problem of vomiting bile in the morning. Teddy had that problem when he was younger. He is a little waif with a very fast metabolism. I fixed the problem doing exactly what you are doing -- feeding a few kibble before bedtime. We would do trick training and the kibble were the rewards.

How many hours between your pup's bedtime and morning? I think Teddy never went more than 6 hours without food. We still maintain a 3 meals per day schedule and I think that helps too.

If your pup won't eat kibble in the morning, you could try giving him half a teaspoon to a teaspoon of yogurt to entice him. Anything to get something in his belly right away.
