I'm pretty happy with one. MOST of the time. There are some days where I REALLY want a second dog. But I'm trying to be patient, wait for the right time, the perfect dog. I want to, first and foremost, make sure that Jackson is happy. If I got a dog that was basically ruining his life after a long period of time, I would not hesitate to rehome the added one, as bad as that sounds. But Jackson is my first priority so when looking for another dog, he will be first in my mind.

With my current lifestyle, I admit one is easier. I have a feeling if I added a second, I would end up leaving BOTH at home as opposed to taking just one, if it was only possible to take one, if you know what I mean. I am also a dogsitter and bring Jackson with me every day to walk and play with the other dogs... with adding a second, it would no longer be possible, so that's another factor in my decision. Both would have to stay home, but they would be exercised still obviously. I bring Jackson with me on vacations, trips, etc, and it's very easy.
