I wouldn't even know what you mean by fill, but I have a midtones bar on my editing software. I did darken it to a -14 from a 0. That bar is in addition to contrast, shadows, and midtones that I did not change. Is that what you mean by fill? That is part of my complaint with my current camera. It doesn't seem to matter whether I use manual or automatic, the lighting is always a little off.
