6 months old? He's still is teething! The canines are usually the last to come out and the fall out. By 8 months if he hasn't lost all the baby teeth, you need to get them taken out during is neuter. If he was taken away from his mother early (before 12 weeks) it could have also played a factor. You need to try to train him out of it. My Uni play bites, meaning she will growl and snarl, but when she actually puts teeth to hand, it's very very light, much like a tap. Then I know she is just playing.
