This is a little off-topic, but I wanted to share.
I watched an episode once of "Monsters Inside Me" and a fly flew into a teen boy's eye. A few weeks later he could barely see & had other symptoms-they found a dang maggot in there!  They said the fly freaked out from the trauma of the collision & dropped the egg. |
So I guess he wasn't matted and dirty and left outside for long periods of time??
