BEWARE, don't leave those little babies outside alone and always watch the skies ! I've read in Maine a hawk carried away a 15 lb dog, finally dropped it from about 350 feet up in the sky. Maybe it was getting to heavy to carry but we'd never let our little ones outside alone with or without a leash, its just asking for trouble. Always have to watch the skies where ever you live, they can come down by surprise. Be careful in those open park areas also.
I remember reading a thread not too long ago where a coyote came along and grabbed a yorkie that was walking on a leash and took it away in front of the owner.

Hawks are scary! We do have them by our house and if I see them anywhere near the house the dogs don't go outside. We have lots of birds and squirrels so I'm hoping that they'll go after those first, but to hear that one went after a #15 dog, that's real scary...
