This is a great warning and you don't have to live in Arizona for the hawks or the coyotes to kill. I think we are just more aware of these dangers along with some more you guys don't have because they are all over the place. BUT Do Not Think your larger dogs (10-15#'s)are any more safe because a hawk can kill by their talons. Think about a size of a large wild rabbitt which is larger than alot of our Yorkies and a hawk will kill many of them by this method and eat off of them on the ground. Scary
