I've heard of people having to put down 2 separated potty pads; some like to pee on one and poo on a different one. That might be your case. I'm sure you know by now that Yorkies are somewhat difficult to housebreak, and 6 months is not long.... many take a year or more.

Cat poo is a treat to most dogs, as cat food is higher protein and even when it comes out, is appealing to dogs. There are additives you can get your cat to eat that will make the poo taste aweful so the pup won't like it. I've heard a vet suggest meat tenderizer, or the food additive "Accent" with MSG.

You need to make the litter box inaccessible to the dog.
