I had this happen to me this past spring!!!
I was out with two of my yorkies and the rooster I had (yes had) the rooster was less than 3 feet from me and out of no where...BOOM.. A HAWK was on my rooster (the rooster was a small guy thought he was a dog)
I WAS RIGHT THERE !!! For a split second I thought the rooster was playing with one of the yorkies this was common everyday thing... Then it hit me what was going on...
I had to slap the HAWK OFF the ROOSTER... The hawk wasn't letting go !!!! The rooster was pretty shook up but not harmed.. But later that month the HAWK won..
Needless to say I have to keep a very watchful eye on my babies.
