I'm glad all turned out well and the raccoon escaped.
It's a blessing that one of your beagles didn't go in after the 'coon. They have a nasty reputation for drowning dogs. I can tell you from having lived with one for almost a year that 'coons can be VERY aggressive and MEAN! i loved my little Annie, and even though we raised her inside our house she was a wild animal and never let me forget it.
Sounds like little Miss Rosie's hunting insticts came roaring out. It is scary when they decide to go after dinner. |
