I agree with this and thought I'd add that when you see prices too good to be true, they aren't. Up here, at the animal shelter, adoption costs start at $200 and that's for a senior dog and puppies are something like $400 that is for mixed breed dogs. One of the girls I work with is looking for a dog or puppy and she was just telling me this the other day. And remember, any reputable breeder is spending thousands on their breeding stock and hundreds on testing so ads that say $200 or $300 & I've even seen free are huge red flags that I would stay away from.
