Hi and Welcome to YT. Wish it could have been under better circumstances...

So sorry about you and your pup having to go through this. I have heard of this happening. When the eye is too badly damaged, there's really nothing that can be done to save it, and with infection being present, it can be life-threatening if it's not removed.

Many dogs do well, they feel better after the removal, and can adapt to their vision limitations quite well.

I'll keep your little one in my prayers....
