A pup needs on average 14-16 hours a day of sleep, adults sleep about 12. If the pup is only 9 weeks old she shouldn't leave for regular outings, also requires food 4 times a day (sleeping in between).
Explain to your daughter until she is fully vaccinated (including her rabies at 5-6 months) she should limit outside exposure with other animals, pet stores, floors at the vet, dog parks, side walks etc.
