Since we were told AKC do you think I should ask for a copy or text picture of the paper work? Would I insult the breeder? |
According to AKC rules, if a dog is registered with them you are entitled to have registration papers! They will force the issue. Ask the breeder for the AKC paperwork where she would have received a puppy registration form that should have been given to you. She needs to sign it in the appropriate places and you will be able to send in the puppy registration and a small fee. The dog is adorable but it is not a yorkie or silkie. I tend to agree with the other YT members commenting on this subject that she may be part pom. She is the cutest little thing though so don't be upset but I would give the breeder a chance to make things right and if she doesn't, call AKC and they will talk with her. This dog does not meet AKC Yorkie standards and they do not register mixed breeds in the same way they do purebreds. Ask to see the dog's parents pedigree. Good Luck and congrad on such a cute little lady. Mary
