Mom has decided against getting her. Not because of the mix but the run around from the breeder. She swears its not a rat terrior and Mom would need to fix it after she purchases the dog.

Glad you are leaving the scammer behind. There are no "papers" to fix on a mixed breed and even on a purebred, it's up to the breeder to submit the initial paperwork with the AKC and make sure it's correct.
