Default Do Your Dogs Sleep in a Topknot

Cooper's hair is finally getting long enough that it almost fits properly in a topknot. It's also at the length where it must be pulled up to avoid completely covering his eyes. But, at night I'm not sure if I'm supposed to just let his hair down, or keep it up in a soft topknot. I know that when I had longer hair and would wear ponytails it would feel so good to take it out and just let my hair loose. However, if I do that with Cooper, when he wakes up he has a couple of little wet strands that must have gotten in his eye or nose

So to those of you who's babies wear topknots: do you take them out at night or do they sleep with them in?
