I am so confused on what to do. Some airlines do not let you take them out of the carrier either.
One of my girls (Rory) is very anxious in the car (panting, though we think it is excitement, but she rides in the car a lot, so who knows), but she has no trouble with flying. Also, it isn't the airline, but the FAA that regulates the dogs are to be in their carriers under the seat for the entire trip, so I wouldn't plan on being able to take her out, no matter what airline you fly.
