I fly frequently with my two dogs, including one who is prone to anxiety issues, and I have never medicated either one of them. They are both well trained to go in their travel bag and be quiet and they settle down nicely once the plane engines begin to sound.

Check with the airline- some airlines have rules that their boarding agents can deny boarding to any pet that appears to be tranquilized.

If you are going to medicate her, I would try it out once before you go- there is no way I would give my dog a new medicine and then get on an airplane. I can guarantee there is no way an airline is going to land a plane for a pet emergency.

Is she used to being in the travel bag? If not I would start getting her used to it now and make sure she spends time in it every single day between now and then.

Make sure you travel with wee wee pads, wipes, and nutrical.
