I know I've been gone for awhile. Life gets in the way. But I just had to share. One of my rescues, Bridget, after over 7 long months, last night, for the first time EVER.. picked up a toy and carried it for a few seconds. Today she carried the same little toy even longer. By george, I think she has actually figured it out. I have to tell you, I was every bit as proud as the day my first kid took his first step. damn near wept. It has made every pee mistake worth it, and her and Brie still make lots of mistakes...lol. Brie still will have nothing to do with a toy. She spends 99% of her time on the couch but Bridget runs with the others and joins in to antagonize the cats, she is really acclimating. So, it shouldn't have surprised me to see her pick a toy up, it just touched me so to think how far she's come from a cramped, crowded breeder cage in a mill to running in a little pack, flexing her furious little personality and now picking up her very own little toy. It's one of those little birds that chirp when it moves, actually a cat toy. I'm just so proud, I had to share... back to life......
