but to further share feelings .....I see lots of sites saying babydolls etc - matter of fact....Chanels breeder does it herself - I personally love Chanels looks.... but the yorkies I see her selling do NOT have any special look about them at all - she upped her prices as her Words changed on her website to describe her yorkies. And believe me - I've followed her website for 3-1.5 years - she went from average prices to selling so called teacups - My friend has a yorkie from Chanels breeder and she weighs over 14 lbs

I think it's just too bad that the "Catch" words like Teacup and "Dollface" mislead customers into thinking they're getting something special.
Villette, to answer your question, yes I do feel as if they are used SOMETIMES to jack up prices and decieve prospetive owners--usually those who have researched the breed very little and are not aware that they are not getting something 'special' and 'rare.' I also think such uninformed people are the ones who pay these outrageous prices because again, they do not know anybetter. Pesonally, when I hear these terms, such as, what was it, applecones? peachfuzz? teady bear? whatever, I laugh because to be quite honest, I just thinik it is funny. At the same time, I don't get mad when people describe them as 'tiny' or 'teacup' or 'miniature' when it is done so as a descriptive term, rather than for marketing purposes. I think it is just a way to tell people that the dog being described is 'smaller than standard size,' for whatever reason that may be.
