I use flea preventative on all my dogs because without it....we would be over run.
The problem inside the house w/ sprays etc...it does nothing to kill the eggs. So in 2 weeks...you have new fleas.
If you have carpeting...you can purchase boric acid, sprinkle it on the carpet and brush in with a broom. It was the most effective method I found.
