Some UTIs are hard to get rid of, especially if bladder stones are present. You said your vet ruled that out. Did he take an X-ray of her abdomen to check for crystals and stones? Was the UTI diagnosed by you bringing a urine sample (early morning, mid-stream catch)? The antibiotic prescribed has to do with what "bugs" were found present in her urine. If no urine sample was given, it's possible the wrong antibiotic was prescribed. Hopefully these two tests were preformed. There are also endocrinological diseases such as hypothyroidism, Cushings disease, Addison's disease or even Diabetes that also have symptoms similar to a UTI. For this reason, a blood test would also help sort out exactly what has been happening to your girl. Was screening done for all these things? Sounds like you've been very proactive. It must be very frustrating for you!
