I would think blood tests would need to be done to check bleeding times (coagulation of the blood). Rat poison if injested causes abnormality in bleeding times.

Incidentally, warfarin (rat poison) is what we give humans (Coumadin) as a blood thinner.

I am not sure of the dosage of vitamin K for a small dog.

I would be watching for signs of bleeding - bleeding gums, blood in stool or urine.
