Thank you for all the thoughts and advice. i gave him charcoal because I called the vet and was told to do so to clear up his stomach, then I myself started him on Vitamin K1 per vet.'s advice. I ended up still taking him to the vet on Monday (this happened Saturday), and he did not give him an injection. He did the exam, told me that I was doing all the right things and sent me on my way.... I was a little disappointed but reassured, I guess. He is just taking Vitamin K now. Here is my question: the vet said to give him up to 10-20 mg a day. That seems like a very high dosage. My mom is a holistic doctor, and she says that such a large dose of K1 could be harmful for him. Do you guys know anything about the dosage? he is about 7 pounds. Should I seek second opinion? He seems fine. I honestly do not think he actually got any of the poison. But I have always been a worrier. |
