I don't understand why people get put down because of the way they describe their pups..
Personally..I want to know..if I'm looking for a pup.
I am also not as cynical as some who would generalize and say that "EVERYONE" who uses these terms is "just in it for the money" because I do not believe that. I think these are pefectly acceptable descriptive words used in the "real" world by real people who breed dogs. They are not bad people, but they sell to the general public who know these terms and use them. I have no problem with "teacup" even though the AKC has not made it a classification...it is simply a descriptive word to mean a smaller than average dog of a given breed. We all know there are smaller yorkies and whether you call them "tiny" or teacup or micro mini, it really doesn't offend me. To deny that they exist makes one sound foolish imo. The majority of us on this board are not show people and we do not own show dogs, we own pets.

There is also nothing bad about breeding to make money...I mean why would you risk the lives of your females if not to hope to make a profit.....to "better the breed"? I think not...even "show breeders" expect to make some money ...otherwise why do it...ego? Maybe for some, but not the majority, and non show breeders are not ALL bad...they genuinely care about the animals, but lets face it, they are not working as hard as they do to produce these puppies and risking the lives of their females just to break even or altruistically to allow everyone the joy of owning a yorkie. Sure, there are some bad breeders out there but they are not the norm thank goodness. Sure there are some who will attempt to capitalize on the breed's popularity and make a quick buck but those people will very quickly learn that is is not an easy thing to do and they won't last long.

As for Babydoll faced, here is a link to a prevous thread here with photos:http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...=Babydoll+face

In my experience "tedddy bear" doesn't mean longer snout but rather a wider face with a lot of coat or hair on the face. The snout may not be as short as a baby doll face yorkie but it is still short and the main part of the descrition is the round or wider shape to the face and the full coat. This is desirable as opposed to a narrow face, long shout and very little hair.

Hope this helps.

Oh yeah...I am not a breeder....
