Louie is very socialized. That is one of the first things we did with him when we got him.He LOVES all ages of people and he is very good in different situations. So I have no problem with kids asking to pet him. Actually we have neighbors with small children and he waits for them to come in the yard. They are very good with him and Louie loves it cause he know he will get lots of attention, and he lives for that
