Suzi my first puppy ever as a independant adult. I use to have cats , But my son is highly allergic. So Suzi will always hold a special place in our hearts. She is now 3 years old. I would say she is a darker colored yorkie, and now that her hair has grown out her golden attibutes really have taken a shine. The top of her head is now a ashen color , I look at her everyday all the time and wonder if the top of her head will become lighter . She is super active , loves everybody, and is also a amazing watchdog. If she can't see you and only hears you , be prepared to get a earful. I now know her different types of barking. YES , they really do have different types. The alarming bark, excited barking, ect. And oh did I mention how smart she is? Smart as can be. My son even trained her to Stay ... She does not move off his bed when he opens his door. It is funny, my little Suzi has now become "his dog" Suzi is more happy when my son is home. She hears the bus and alerts me by barking at me, looking right at me, as if to say the bus is heeerrrrre ! It is especially interesting because my son is no ordinary kid... He has autism with cognitive delays. Who knew that my first dog ever , A 7-10 pound Yorkie would steal my son's heart. She has. And now reffered to "my Dog" by my son. well Suzi loves me too, but they share a strong bond.
I have a Shih Tzu. A 2 yr old , laid back little Tzu. Remarkably the same size as Suzi, and perhaps a little more on the fragile side. She is more petite. Miely is her name, and she has become my shadow. She is a AKC very beautiful Shih Tzu. Less high strung though then the little terrior Suzi. Miely paws at my arm, or hand all the time for attention. I also seen her do this to Suzi too. Funny little Miely girl. She is not as bold as Suzi. But just a little sweetheart.
both Miely and Suzi could fit into my hands when I first brought them home. They have turned out to be the best of friends. Thank goodness! But Suzi definately is the stronger personality.
These are who I call my girls. They have stolen our hearts forever. 2 little beauties. I never knew what I was missing. I was nearly 40 yrs old until I first brought a puppy in our home. Yes I grew up with Poms, so Yes again to the smaller toy breeds. They are absolutely amazing companions, and forever close to us always.
