Dogs don't just have seizures for the heck of it. There is a cause and you need a vet to diagnose and treat your dog. If a vet's front desk staff told you it was not necessary to bring in your dog, you need to let the vet know that. Front desk staff are not qualified to determine if your dog needs to be seen or not. And any vet allowing his/her staff to do this is not one I'd take my dog to.
Please get this dog back to a vet before you have more seizures on your hands and a possible severe situation.
