I would love to join in this wonderful group too! I have a thyroid condition that attributed to weight gain of about 45 lbs in a very short time period. Since that time...a few years ago, I have maintained my weight, but have had a hard time losing any! I am very interested in this lifestyle change, not only for me, but for my 3 children. None of them have a weight problem, but I want them to grow up knowing healthy ways of eating so that they dont have the same issues I have had.

My stats are

5 feet tall
170 lbs
goal 125 lbs

I have an elypitcal machine...does anyone know if that is a good form of excercise or does it make more sense to look into a treadmill?

My vote is for once a week check in.
