Ihnteresting! The pond store we go to told us to buy one of those fake alligators and put it in the pond and it will keep the herons away. I dont want to because I like a natural look but I probably will buy one and try it. We are in the city and our biggest problem is going to be keeping the raccoons out of it. We have always had smaller garden ponds so this one that holds 6000 gals is a new experience. We have had the hole dug in our backyard since last summer so we have been waiting for it for some time. We had to have an electrician friend come out and do a bunch of stuff to our electrical system and take out 3 trees just to do it. We get the rock in 3 weeks so Im excited. I may have some pond questions for you later on
