In my opinion - only harnesses.....I am so afraid of them pulling out of a collar, and I too am watchful of their throats. I also take the harnesses off when we are in the house - I find they 'tat' under their front legs from the harness. I have a pink harness/leash set for Miss Lizzie and a blue one for Mr. Darcy!! - don't ya just love our furbabies!!!!
