My dog is young (14 weeks) and probably goes oftener than he will when he's an adult.
But - I notice quite a variance in my dog. Sometimes he will go hours, and other times he will go twice in an hour. Perhaps he has more water at times.
Whatever -- I am sure there is no fast rule.
We people vary somewhat also - depending on our food and water intake.
