Hi...I'm new to the site. I have a 5 month old female. I got her when she was 8 weeks old and have tried from day one to potty train her. Basically she has no problem going outside, but she still doesnt get that she is not suppose to go inside. I took a week off from work last month and stayed home during my vacation to see if i could get her going. For the week it seemed great. However as soon as I had to go back to work I started our routine of taking her to my Moms. Unfortunately my Mom does not have the time to watch her like a hawk whenever she is out of her crate, like I would during the first week. By the time I make it to pick her up she has Pee'd inside everytime she's left alone for more than 5 minutes. We tried crate training but my Mom feels guilty keeping her in her crate most of the day. As well as she takes over and hour to eat her bowl of food. So that would mean putting her back in her crate without eating or leaving her to roam with no direct supervision and she uses that time to pee and poop inside as she pleases (even though she has already done both outside). I have given up in the last month feeling like my poor baby will never get it. And I will just have to deal with a life of cleaning up after her. Please can anyone give me some tips or tell me what I'm doing wrong. Because I dont want to give up on my baby
