I have researched cruise ships and unless it is a legitimate service dog (not emotional support) they are not allowed. This is mainly because of the quarantine laws of other countries and areas that they travel to.

MauiGirl that makes me feel better. I currently live in Minnesota so it is approximately 13 hours to Honolulu. I'm visiting July 1-12 without my pooch, non stop flight. I would definitely want to stop in CA and hopefully break up the time period Uno would have to be in his kennel.

My aim is to do that 5-day quarantine (although I think there can be direct release at the airport if all paperwork is done properly? Some lady with a yellow lab mentioned that anyway)

Baroness, thanks for the heads up. I had read that the temperature is not necessarily controlled so that would definitely be something to consider. That's why I had picked September as my aim, but we'll see.
