I feel your pain....I'm going thru the same thing for years, but I usually catch them before they dirty things up, and get them outside. If I crate them, it doesn't help, they pee and poop in the crate. After they ruined our hardwood floors in the bedroom, we now keep them in the master bathroom while we're out...easier to clean up....which is every time we leave and come back....but they spend the night, for the most part, in our bed.
