Hi everyone, thank you all for your posts.

She appears to be urinating normally now. It is a stream, so I believe that is good. I called my vet and spoke to her about the surgery and x-rays etc. I seems that surgery is the best option. She said that it is a surgery they do all the time and that it is similar to getting spayed. She also said that in 3 days she will be feeling much much better.

At the time I took her to the vet, she had nothing in her bladder so they were unable to do a urine sample. They gave her medicine for the UTI, two types, to cover any type of UTI she had.

I guess the reason surgery was not done right away is that is was not blocking the urine flow. Since she has been urinating in a stream I assume that means it is not blocking yet, and surgery is not yet immediately necessary. She has a few more days of meds and she still is on her rx wet dog food.

I am going to PM Priscilla now to ask about the recovery. That is what I am most worried about at this point because of me going out of town. I know my baby will want me there and I want to be there to take care of her. But at the same time I am nervous to wait and have the stone get stuck and then her need immediate surgery when I am gone. I am pretty torn with what to do for her.

I am wondering if I could take her with me? Would the airplane upset the stone situation if I did not have surgery for her right away? Or would it be ok to travel with her if she did have surgery tomorrow (Wed.) and we left on Friday.
