 Deuce Update + dry food question
Went to the Vet today. Took a poop sample and will get the results by Wed. She put him on metronidazole 1/2 tablet 2x's per day based on a previous problem we had in November. I gave him his first dose at 3:00 and by 5:00 he was a new man. Wanting to play ball, talking for attention and now sleeping on his favorite pillow on top of the ottoman. He ate a round of Chicken and rice at about 4:30 and we haven't had an diarrhea yet. This is looking promising. Looking forward to sleeping through the night I hope.
The vet thought it may be that Orijen is too high in protein and fat for him looking at the timeline of the problem. I tend to agree. I'm going to get him back on the Innova and add some chicken/or broth to the evening meal to entice him to eat. I'll eventually back off the enticement. The Vet said the Royal Canin Yorshire Terrier formula may be an option. Anyone out there using that?
