My concern would not be what you can or cannot afford ~ it's good that you can afford Vet care.
But a knowledgeable breeder would NOT be breeding a five year old female for the first time.
There can be no good reason for doing so. To me, this is what I think of when I think 'backyard breeder'. You want to breed - not for any of the right reasons - and you have no idea what you are doing or how to go about it.
However, what's done is done and I wish your girl the best and your puppies as well.
