At 14 weeks he can get his 3rd DHPP, if he is well. (1 month inbetween vaccines)
Depending on what your state law is, Rabies is usually given between 4-8 months. With a tiny pup, I would wait as long as possible (8 months), just keep him inside or in your arms until 2 weeks after he gets it. (if healthy)
At 1 year old, he needs a DHPP Booster, then one month later, the Rabies Booster. (if healthy)
I can't tell you what to do... but I have stated what I would do. I am not a Vet, my post reflects my opinions, and this vaccine schedule should be discussed with your vet. If your vet disagrees with this schedule... I would seek a second opinion from a different vet. Vaccines are very important, and as overvaccinating can be dangerous, it's important to know about them. | I never did get his records yet so I am going to assume that he never got any vaccinations. I could go off her word as she said he got vaccinated at 5 1/2wks and then one 04/19/11 the day before I got him, but I just can't count on it. I am wondering what others would do in this situation once little one is better???? Thanks again for all this information. You have been wonderful help to me and I am sure to many others as well.
