Nope not evil at all, we had a black lab that could clear a 5ft fence, he always jumped the entry gate because it was the lowest, he was also afraid of black. SO we put a HUGE black pot at the entry gate and he never jumped the fence again.
We also used our BLACK vaccum to keep him away from the computer desk as he likes to jump that too knocking over our monitor constantly.
Mind you he also was scared of darker greens, reds, black people!, etc. I think dogs are color blind as all of those colors would show up as a shade of black on a b&w scale.
