Knowing Giz would want to play with the pup, did you stop to think maybe inside the Coach store wasn't the right place for him to meet and greet other puppies?
Kaji is the exact same way, minus the barking. I take him with me everywhere I can. In a situation such as that one, I would wait for both dogs to be outside for them to play around.
