I have a white puppy mill Maltese / Shih Tzu. Red/ brown stains around the mouth, paws, private parts and eyes, as well as smelly ears are all signs of internal red yeast. This is not to be confused with the normal "eye boogers / sleep" that most dogs get. The Angel Eyes does have a low grade antibiotic, but for some reason, it does kill the red yeast. It eliminates the constant itching in some dogs. I have used Angel Eyes on foster puppy mill dogs, and they they look so pretty when the new white fur grows in place of the stained fur. It helps them get adopted when they look pretty. Also, I use a pet food that does not contain beet juice. Beet juice is not the main cause of tear stains, but it can be a contributing factor. I have had great success with Angel Eyes. If the yeast is because of damp, floppy ears, Angel Eyes will not work until the ears are cleared up first. Zymox in the ears works best for me. Its better than any prescriptions my vet has ever given me. Many puppy mill dogs fight yeast all their lives. It's just my opinion, but Angel Eyes has worked great for me.
