I would write a letter to your Insurance company and ask for their policy and where it states that it is not covered Also get a letter stating your medical conditions from your doctor and ask for it to be reviewed by their Medical Director (doctor on staff). I know many of the Insurance companies were covering it if you met the criteria. i know where i use to work we pretty much followed Aetna's protocol. I haven't worked their in a year but is it possible the lapband procedure is being considred experimental by the insurance companies? i would keep after them!
