This is unreal - someone I know is just asking about this - She was getting the lapband too - and been to the doctor and everything with the surgery scheduled ....Then she just found out today... after she was all psyched ...that insurance won't pay
she had even checked with the insurance company
before making the appointment - I think with the crazy prices of insurance something like this SHOULD be covered - I don't understand the reasoning behind insurance companies that's for sure -
dsrjrr....I hope you get answers ...sounds like you need to fight this and maybe get the doctors to claim it for health reasons -
I know some people have had cosmetic surgeries done - my husand had his eyes done - they claimed he needed the surgery for vision purposes and they very reluctently gave in - this was back when I had insurance thru Aetna...but they did pay after we kept on them
GOOD LUCK !!! I would love to see more answers here for my friend too....she's going thru this same problem and I hope there's a way to get this done and have it covered by insurance.
