My husband and I have talked about maybe finding Niki a new home where she can be herself, play full time and have another dog that likes to play with her. We don't want to try and make Niki into something she's not, that would be so sad. She's a gorgeous little lady and going to reach about 10-12 pounds full grown. She's a total sweetheart and loves to cuddle and give kisses too. I keep telling myself, "tomorrow will be better...", meaning that Tiki maybe will want to play with Niki... |
Yours sounds similar to the situation I had with Leroy & his sister Ruby. She became so possessive of me and would absolutely terrorize Leroy. After 5 years of it, I was faced with making that decision. Thankfully, another couple in my neighborhood (who had lost their precious Yorkie 3 years prior) decided they wanted Ruby. It was a perfect match. Now, we get to see her every day and she's much happier having her own family and not having to share.
Leroy enjoys life so much more now. He's got mom and dad all to himself now. He enjoys stretching out in his very own sunbeam and without worry about being pestered. Life is good!
